Lady Gaga and Tim Burton have collaborated on a new track titled, Dead Dance for Netflix’s hit series, Wednesday.
Variety has confirmed the news through sources close to the project.
In July, multiple outlets spotted Burton and Gaga together on the Island of Dolls in Xochimilco.
Netizens speculated that the duo were filming a music video for the song, which will be released in September, coinciding with the Bad Romance singer’s cameo on the show.
Notably, Gaga plays a legendary teacher named Rosaline Rosewood at Nevermore Academy, who comes across Wednesday Addams, portrayed by Jenna Ortega.
Though the 39-year-old queen of pop hasn’t commented on the music yet, the director of the series praised Gaga’s involvement in the second season during the premiere.
In conversation with the above-mentioned outlet, he said, “She’s such an artist, and so for me, working with an artist is inspirational.”
On May 31, during the Tudum fan event in Los Angeles, the Bloody Mary hitmaker was announced as a guest star on Wednesday season 2. She gave a gothic-themed performance of her songs, Abracadabra and Monster Queen, after rising from the coffin.
The second part of the series is slated to release in two parts, on August 6 and September 3. Lady Gaga will appear in the second batch of the show.
For the unversed, the Grammy winner is currently on her Mayhem Ball tour in Seattle, where she will perform three shows starting August 6.
