Ncuti Gatwa teases fans with ‘Doctor Who’ comment
Ncuti Gatwa commented on a missed showdown from the show
Ncuti Gatwa has sparked buzz around his possible return to Doctor Who.
Previously, the actor has left fans shocked after exiting the show in May.
The 32-year-old left BBC’s science fiction drama after starring in it for two seasons. It was later revealed that he left as the role took a toll on his body.
He appeared on The One Show, where the host Alex Jones asked him if he regrets anything from the time he starred on the show.
“I never got to fight a Dalek. A Dalek or a Cyberman. I mean, just the crux of Doctor Who.”, Ncuti replied fuelling speculations about his possible return.
The actor said “Might go fight a Dalek!”, referring to the extraterrestrial race of mutants from the show.
Ncuti is one of the only two actors who have not faced Daleks on screen.
Fans were quick to comment on it as one wrote “I think maybe he’s coming back as The 15th Doctor for a third series once he’s available”.
Earlier, after Ncuti had exited, people were suspecting that Harry Styles might be one of the top contenders to star as the new Doctor Who.
