Kim Kardashian unveils SKIMS items that leaves fans at a loss

Kim Kardashian's latest product from shapewear line, SKIMS, has left fans speechless.

The “Ultimate Face” headwrap is advertised on the brand's Instagram as “our first-ever face innovation, made with signature sculpting fabric and infused with collagen yarns for ultra-soft jaw support.”

A woman wearing a skintight, nude fabric hood that vaguely resembles a balaclava is featured in an advertisement for the Ultimate Face.

Social media users jumped into the comments section with responses such as, "Is it April Fools? and: "What on earth is this?"

“State of the world in shamble, people dying...,” wrote one commenter. “Kim, new Hannibal Lector Nylon face wrap just dropped.”

In particular, the taunts were directed at a scene in The Silence of the Lambs where Anthony Hopkins' cannibalistic serial killer is strapped down, wearing a straitjacket and a muzzle, and is wheeled out for a meeting with a senator.

“Can’t tell if trolling,” “Peak f***ery,” “Can we agree to disagree,” and “What am I looking at here?” were among the other flabbergasted replies.

“There’s a 16-year-old girl out there thinking she needs to buy this crap :),” wrote one as another said, “SKIMS, making women feel bad about themselves since 2018.”

On the day of its release, the SKIMS website sold out, even though some observers were appalled by the product.
