‘Vampire Diaries’ star Ian Somerhalder wishes Paul Wesley on birthday

Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley truly share a brothers' bond as they continue to let their onscreen chemistry spill into real life with a strong friendship that the internet can’t seem to get enough of.

The Lost actor posted a nostalgic carousel of images to wish the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds actor on his 43rd birthday.

In the Instagram post on Wednesday July 23, the 46-year-old started off with a throwback, grainy image of the iconic duo looking at the camera.

The following series of pictures were of Ian and Paul from The Vampire Diaries, as well as some candid shots of them, taken for the promotion of their liquor brand Brother’s Bond.

In the caption accompanying the post, the Smallville star got straight to the point by noting “HAPPY BIRTHDAY @paulwesley ! 16 years together Little Brother… Literally through hell and high water.”

He continued writing, “Unbelievable achievements together creating so many memories around the globe: so many more to come,” with the 2011 hit Feel So Close, also featured on the series.

The V Wars star then joked that Paul should relax for the day, since he had to get up the next day to sell their alcohol.
