David Beckham faces hair mishap after risky DIY buzz cut attempt

David Beckham tried to patch up his bald patch after getting his own do-it-yourself buzz cut on Sunday.

The 50-year-old football legend, who is well known for switching up his hairstyles, was obviously upset after nearly cutting his own hair with a pair of clippers.

David rejected his traditional short back and sides in favour of the shaved appearance he famously unveiled in 2000, when he was at the top of his footballing game.

Additionally, the head of his clippers fell off in the middle of shaving, leaving him with a noticeable bald patch on top of his head.

In an attempt to hide the error, David has since posted a new selfie with an even shorter buzz cut.

He wrote, “UPDATE The best I can do with the situation. @victoriabeckham still awful???”

Earlier in the day, Victoria, the father of four's wife, showed little pity for him by posting a video of her husband's unsteady buzz-cut to Instagram, seemingly taking pleasure in his misfortune.

“It does not look good,' she admits as a crestfallen Beckham reluctantly shows her the bald patch. 'I'm going to always be honest with you - it looks terrible.”

However, after David showed off his new look, Victoria added, “I'm into it!!!”

For the unversed, the Spice Girls alum is a year older than the entrepreneur as she celebrated her 51st birthday on April 17.
