The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey earned their second nomination for the Emmy Awards, making history as the first diverse-identity actor to be nominated more than once.
The 77th Emmy Awards announced the nominees for 2025 on Tuesday morning, July 15.
The beloved HBO show earned 16 Emmy nominations for Season 2, fewer than the 24 nominations received for the previous season.
Ramsey’s nomination is notable, as they are one of five nominees in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category for their performance as Ellie in Season 2.
The acclaimed young actor was also nominated in a similar category at the 75th Emmy Awards in 2023.
In 2025, the total tally of The Last of Us Emmy nominations stands at 40 across two seasons.
Moreover, the series also won eight Golden Statuettes in 2024.
Besides Ramsey, the star of the show, Pedro Pascal, is nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series despite his limited appearance in the season.
Other stars considered for Emmy 2025 include Joe Pantoliano as Eugene, Jeffrey Wright as Isaac, Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, and Catherine O’Hara as Gail.
Additionally, The Last of Us was also nominated for Best Drama Series.
