Owen Cooper has reached the heights of success after giving a chilling performance in Netflix hit series Adolescence.

The 15-year-old is set to become one of the youngest Emmy Award nominees ever as the list will announce on Tuesday, July 15.

The Warrington actor, if nominated, would be the youngest-ever to win Emmy for acting in the 76-year history of the esteemed ceremony.

For decades, Scott Jacoby held the record for the youngest Best Supporting Actor winner, taking home the award in 1973 at the age of 16.

However, the title of the youngest overall winner belonged to Roxana Zal, who was just 14 when she won the award for her iconic role in Something About Amelia.

According to MailOnline, Cooper will be entered in the Best Supporting Actor category contrary to Best Actor.

The critics and industry experts hailed the producers’ choice as a "genius move,” increasing his chances of winning the award.

Owen Cooper caught audiences’ attention with his role as murder suspect Jamie Miller in one of Netflix’s most watched-series ever.

In the midst of Emmy growing buzz, the young rising star became the name on everyone’s lips ahead of the big announcement on Tuesday.

When is the Primetime Emmy Award going to happen?

The 77th Primetime Emmy Award is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Peacock Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, California.
