Hollywood star Richard Dreyfuss confirmed that he is too ill to attend this year's SharkCon, giving fans a devastating health update.
The 77-year-old Jaws star portrayed Matt Hooper in the critically acclaimed Steven Spielberg movie, which is commemorating its 50th anniversary this year.
Richard was bundled up in a hospital bed with a Jaws blanket in a brand new video posted to SharkCon's Instagram on Sunday.
When speaking to fans on their way to the event, Richard appeared pale and struggling.
"Hello fellow con artists," Richard said to the camera. "I regret to inform you that I have been diagnosed with a viral, er,What is it?"
Although Richard found it difficult to repeat the word, his wife Svetlana Erokhin confirmed off screen that he had viral bronchitis.
The airways that deliver air to your lungs, the bronchial tubes, become inflamed when you have bronchitis.
"My doctors have told me that I am unable to fly, and it would take me five hours to get there," he added.
Richard Dreyfuss was diagnosed with viral bronchitis, a highly contagious airway inflammation that forced him to cancel his SharkCon appearance.
