Although, 'Kill Kill' actor’s cause of death has not been released, but people close to his circle giving hints that Madsen was striving hard to become sober days before his death.

Michael’s assistant Dougie Smith, Madsen's 'Man of the Friday' disclosed to an online portal that Madsen appeared in good health roughly a week before his passing, after a routine doctor’s appointment for his rotator cuff, which makes his death even more shocking after this revelation.

He further revealed that due to a minor incident of horse fall off, he suffered a minor brain bleed, so he underwent a PET scan to ensure everything was looking okay…and Michael got all the clear from doctors.

And that’s what, Dougie points to, makes Michael’s death is so shocking to family and friends, “He looked like he had been in the best health he had been in all year!”

Dougie recalled his last telephonic conversation with Reservoir Dogs actor, on Tuesday night, and he described him sounding “great,” and was looking forward to Nashville Comic-Con in the coming days.

Depression took Michael Madsen’s life

The Reservoir Dogs actor spent years in and out of rehabilitation programs as he battled alcoholism…. but at the same time was also struggling with depression and engulfed with personal hardships, like a troubled marriage life that torn him out completely.

Though, it’s yet to confirm whether he had been drinking in the days leading up to his death …or whether alcohol played any factor at all.

Michael Madsen was found dead last week on July 3 at his Malibu House, California. His demise sent shock waves through Hollywood and a bunch of celebs poured heartfelt tributes including his famous sister.

Sideways” star Virginia Madsen paid a heart touching tribute, she wrote, “He was thunder and velvet. Mischief wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as an outlaw.”

Actress Jennifer Trill remembered Michael and recalled their time together on the set of the 1994 movie, “The Gateway.” she wrote on X, “I don’t recall ever laughing so much on a film set in my life. A huge talent. Gone too soon.”

Depression: Better Late Than Never

Depression is a lethal kind of disease most people take lightly. The best remedy is to consult your physician earlier if you ever face signs of loneliness or being cut-off from your social circle. It slowly poisons a person and ultimate leads to death.
