Beloved singer Dolly Parton appeared on the podcast Khloé in Wonder Land from Khloé Kardashian where she opened up about her plans.
Her husband of almost 60 years, Carl Dean tragically passed away a few months earlier, and his death has also impacted her music.
About struggling with her process, she remarked, “[There are] several things I have wanted to start, but I can’t do it."
“I will later,” the singer continued. “I’m just coming up with such wonderful beautiful ideas, but I think I won’t finish it. I can’t do it right now, because I got so many other things.”
“I can’t afford the luxury of, you know, getting that emotional right now,” Parton mused. “There are times like that, things like that, that will stall you a little bit. But I’ll write something else though, if it comes. I’m just putting that all on hold.”
The singer also talked about how she visited the Ringgold, Ga., church where they got married after his passing in another interview, “We would always go down to Ringgold so — in and around our anniversary every year since we were married. So, anyway, that’s where I spent my anniversary, our first — my first — our anniversary without him, the first one. So I thought, well, I have got to go back and just take a picture on that — on the same steps at that same church."
