Liam Gallagher, who kickstarted his reunion tour with brother Noel, has a real name that is not known by many of his fans.
Although fans chanted the duo’s name as they finally performed as the Oasis, it was revealed that Liam is the nickname of the 52-year-old singer.
However, the Wonderwall hitmaker’s original name is William John Paul Gallagher.
The change in his name was the decision of his parents to bring him up as Liam, which is a short for the moniker in Irish.
It is to be noted that the middle names of the singer is a nod to a popular rock band the Beatles.
The Oasis band members took the stage by storm as they joined hands after 16 years, sending fans into a frenzy.
It is reported that around 75,000 concert goers came together at the opening night of the tour that was hosted in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
As soon as the brothers announced their concerts, all the dates went “sold-out” instantly. This pushed the duo to sell extra tickets due to huge demand.
Although the musicales were highly anticipated, many concertgoers claimed that the stadium appeared half-full.
A fan filmed a footage to reveal that the attendees were “seated” throughout the gigs and were not “singing.” This was deemed offensive by the online community.
While the duo put on a united front for the music lovers, Liam and Noel are making sure they do not end up feuding again.
They are reportedly taking precautionary measures by staying in separate residences.
