Lorde, best known for her dynamic songwriting skills and young talent, has been left gushing as she has reached a new career-first milestone.
The singer, who hails from New Zealand, released her new album Virgin following the success of her previous album Solar Power.
The newly released album has reached the Number one spot in the UK charts becoming her first ever album to reach this milestone.
“I cannot believe that I've got Number 1 in the UK!”, Lorde said speaking to Official charts.
“This is absolutely insane. I felt so much love from the UK on Virgin. I cannot thank you enough and I cannot wait to see you on the tour very, very soon. Sending all my love. Love you guys so much!”, she added.
Virgin is Lorde’s fourth album that came out four years after her last album which peaked at the number 2 spot, but could not reach the top spot.
