Ray J is inviting people to a pre-party being held for Sean “Diddy” Combs in anticipation of his release after federal charges against the former record producer have reportedly been dropped.
As the trial is coming to a close, and the disgraced rap mogul’s legal team will be presenting their closing statements before jury deliberation and eventually, the verdict, the prosecution has exonerated him of some blame.
The government has pulled back on charges alleging the aiding of sex trafficking, attempted arson and attempted kidnapping.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the YouTuber who goes by the name of DJ Akademiks claimed that Ray J had extended an invite to him a day before news broke out of the prosecution’s eyebrow raising move.
The music industry journalist noted that the One Wish singer allegedly stated, ““It's a pre-party. To celebrate Diddy being free. Because, come on, like s*x trafficking, bro, everybody got to go home, bro.”
“In s*x trafficking, you don't get to go home. You can't be moving around all kinds of countries, and you're locked into a room. Bro, everybody got to go home,” Ray J claimed from their conversation during a livestream.
Notably, the Mars Attacks! star had sought DJ Akademiks as a plus one to the party which is being held with the belief that Diddy’s freedom is only a matter of time.
Diddy’s defence has been granted an extra day to work on their closing argument which will be presented on June 27. The jury deliberation is scheduled to begin on June 30.
