The actor, who’s best known for his eighties astonishing role 'Deputy Cletus Hogg' in the action comedy tv show, died at age 79 in Los Angles.
Life & Career of Rick Hurst:
Hurst was born in Houston, Texas on January 1, 1946. He graduated from Tulane University in 1968 and completed his master’s in fine arts from Temple University in 1970.
He debuted his TV career on a 1979 episode of The Doris Day Show, then appeared as guest in popular American TV series such as The Doris Day Show, The Partridge Family and Little house on the prairie.
But what gave a big break to Hurst was when he signed a role as 'Cletus' in The Dukes of Hazzard, appeared in it from 1980 to 1985.

Hurst’s big-screen body of work also included W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings (1975), Tunnel Vision (1976), The Cat From Outer Space (1978), Earth Girls Are Easy (1988), The Karate Kid Part III (1989), In the Line of Fire (1993) and Steel Magnolias (1989).
