R. Kelly, who was charged with racketeering and sex trafficking charges in 2021, was accused by his fiancée Joycelyn Savage’s family of brainwashing and keeping her as a sex slave.
Savage, who has been engaged to Kelly for three years, has finally decided to speak her truth by releasing a video statement.
The 29-year-old rejected the allegations of being a “victim,” insisting everyone to “not believe the lies that my mother and father” are curating about the couple.
The record producer’s partner revealed that she was the one to propose to Kelly and are “planning on getting married” in the future.
She is hoping that the hip-hop star gets “the righteous justice that he deserves,” asking people to “pray for him.”
Although Savage has been with Kelly throughout his legal battle, it was earlier reported that his fiancée was one of his alleged victims.
According to her family’s attorney, the I Believe I Can Fly hitmaker claimed to have no direct contact with Savage after a short phone call in 2019.
Recently, the Ignition singer was rushed to hospital and admitted after an assumed murder plot.
Defence lawyers stated that the musician was overdosed by the prison staff by giving him a medication.
R. Kelly, who is real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, was accused of child pornography and soliciting minor to prostitution after being charged with sex trafficking and racketeering in 2021.
In 2023, the 58-year-old was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being declared guilty of filming himself sexually abusing his teenager goddaughter.
