Colson Baker, known professionally as Machine Gun Kelly, gave some insights behind naming his and Megan Fox's newborn daughter, Saga.
The estranged pair welcomed their little bundle of joy on March 27, and music producer has now revealed the inspiration behind her unique name during his Citi Concert Series.
On June 20, the Emo Girl singer spoke on the Today show, where he revealed why he and his ex-partner, Megan, chose to name their infant Saga Blade Fox-Baker, reasoning to 39-year-old actress previous miscarriages.
In conversation with the host’s, the American rapper stated, “The five years of her culmination of coming, disappearing, coming back again, disappearing, coming back again — she is an epic story, and that’s what Saga means.”
The songwriter who was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Cleveland, Ohio further added that he is Norwegian descent and that his baby girl's name came from Nordic mythology, which means 'goddess of storytelling,' and he thinks his daughter has a great storytelling future ahead.
Additionally, the Home hitmaker praised about the Transformers actress motherhood, saying, "Megan's a great mom and just killing it and I'm so excited."
MGK prior to his onstage performance, also gave shoutout to his older daughter Casie Colson Baker, whom he shares with ex-partner Emma Cannon.
Machine Gun Kelly was 18-year-old when he had his first child in 2009.
