Shakira’s upcoming concert at the Alamodome, San Antonio has been postponed, according to a spokesperson from the venue.
Spokesperson Richard Oliver explained that Alamodome officials were restricting entry due to unidentified “ongoing issues.”
With no clear rescheduled date, Live Nation Entertainment claimed that the postponement was due to “structural issues.”
The statement read, “Unfortunately, Shakira’s performance tonight has been postponed due to structural issues. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced. More information will be emailed to ticketholders directly when available. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
The show was originally meant to take place at the Frost Bank Center on November 16, however, the venue ended up getting changed “due to unprecedented fan demand.”
Her earlier shows, scheduled to take place at Washington, D.C. and Boston, also ended up getting cancelled.
Fans took to social media to express their anger over the postponement, as well as the parking prices at the venue, which cost around $60.
“WTH it needed to be announced before people spent money at restaurants and for parking,” wrote a user on Instagram.
"@shakira - you did San Antonio wrong. Canceling at the very last minute is just plain wrong," wrote another.
