Timothée Chalamet’s repeated appearances at the Knicks’s games for the past few months have made fans draw comparisons between him and his character from the Dune franchise, Paul Atreides.

In the sci-fi series, the protagonist or the “chosen one” is a youthful, charismatic leader with supernatural abilities, destined to lead people to greatness.

Paul is also gets the title of "Lisan al Gaib" (a messiah) who is responsible for reshaping the universe with his power.

Timothée, who plays the fictional character in the series, has humorously been dubbed the real-life "Lisan al Gaib", for some memorable moments the 29-year-old has had over the past few games.

The Wonka star’s fans noted his May 19 outing, after which he interacted with excited Knicks fans, who touched and patted him on the head in excitement as he leaned out of his car, equally ecstatic, as being a similarity to the fictional leader.

The clip, posted on X (formerly Twitter) was flooded with comments like, “You would think he’s the messiah. (Oh wait…)” and “He really is the Lisan Al’ Gaib.”

Another instance that went viral on social media was from Timothée’s May 29 courtside appearance with his beau Kylie Jenner, when he stood up to passionately cheer for his favorite team, prompting people in the rows behind him to follow suit.
