Cassie Ventura, who was one of the key witnesses in ongoing Diddy trial, has been rushed to hospital two weeks after testifying in the criminal case of her ex-partner.
According to PEOPLE, the songstress has been admitted to the labour unit of the New York City’s hospital as she was nearing her ninth month of pregnancy.
This came after the 38-year-old, who is expecting her third child with husband Alex Fine, attended her former partner’s trial.
In a statement shared by Attorney Douglas Wigdor, Cassie revealed she felt “glad to put this chapter of my life to rest.” She asked for “privacy” as she expressed her willingness to “focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy.”
During the first week of trial, the Me & U hitmaker took the stand to “speak her truth,” recounting her 11-and-a-half-year long relationship with Diddy.
The dancer gave the details about the sexual, mental and physical abuse that she faced while being linked with the Bad Boy Records owner.
The 2016 footage of her being violently attacked by the imprisoned rapper was also shown in the court by the prosecutors.
Cassie testified about being forced to be included in the alleged “freak offs” by the music mogul. Diddy reportedly coerced women to be part of these extended sexual activities.
Recalling the "humiliating” experience, the Kiss Me crooner admitted that she would give back the $20 million settlement amount if it meant she was never part of the “freak-offs.”
