Emmy-winning director Jeff Margolis breathed his last on Friday at the age of 78.
Jeff’s family announced the news via a statement, confirming that Margolis died on Friday morning, May 23, in Nashville, Tennessee.
However, the cause of his demise is not yet revealed by the close ones.
Following the producer’s death news, the Screen Actors Guild Awards committee paid emotional tribute, stating, “Jeff Margolis created some of the most unforgettable moments in awards show history, and we are grateful that the Screen Actors Guild Awards was among them.”
“For over 16 years, Jeff helped shape the telecast into a celebration worthy of the actors it honors. We are profoundly grateful for his contributions and will miss him dearly,” the SAG committee's heartfelt obituary continued.
The renowned producer served in the industry for more than 40 years. His remarkable work includes directing and producing live events such as the American Music Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards, the Golden Globes Red Carpet Specials, the SAG Awards, and more
For his outstanding work, the widely recognized director received two Directors Guild of America Awards as well as earned six Emmy Award nominations
In 1976, Jeff launched his production company named Jeff Margolis Productions.
