The Queen of Latin Pop, Shakira, is nowadays bringing back her iconic songs from the ’90s and early 2000s, reimagining them in an intimate fashion.
Previously, Shakira and Wyclef Jean collaborated to celebrate 20 years of her hit song that took over the world with its no-caps heat, Hips Don’t Lie.
With an exhilarating performance, Shakira took the fans into a trance with her inevitable moves and potent singing.
Now, the global pop icon appeared on The Tonight Show and re-envisioned her 1996 breakthrough album Pies Descalzos song, Antología.
Shakira was joined by her live band to perform the song in a sing-along style with intimate and mesmerizing vibes.
This is the second time Shakira has taken the audience back to her hit songs, and fans only crave more.
A few days back, when she re-sang her 2005 hit, she shared that she almost didn’t release Hips Don’t Lie, and it was a last-minute decision.
During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, the Colombian singer said that the song altered her life story. She said people started calling her “Shakira twice” since that song came out.
Shakira also revealed how some people used an actual lie detector on her.
About the Antología performance, Shakira said that it always brings a lump to her throat. She reflected on how the song is “a testament” to the deep bond she shares with her audience.
