Shia LeBeouf names stars who ‘saved’ his life

Shia LeBeouf has bene open about his personal struggles over the years including issues with drug abuse and being a victim of violence.

The actor revealed there were Hollywood peers who helped him stay “alive” during the rough phase of his life.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor shared that Mel Gibson, Sean Penn and Josh Brolin were the three stars who helped him retain sobriety.

The Transformers actor said him and Mel Gibson are very close and expressed his admiration for him saying “Big respect, big love. He’s always been very lovely to me.”

“Him, Sean Penn, James Brolin — these guys got me to sobriety. They got around me and kept me alive.” the actor opened up.

Shia expressed his gratitude saying, “I’m blessed that I still have this craft and I’m still allowed to do it at a high level with the highest.”
