Selena Gomez recently expresses anger after her husband Benny Blanco made controversial comment on her eating habits.
A source close to the Only Murders in the Building actress tells OK! that Selena “feels blindsided” given her struggles with body image issue.
Interestingly, the record producer opened up about his wife eating habits during a Goop podcast with Gwyneth Paltrow, saying, she has the “diet of a five-year-old” child.
He told Gwyneth, “This morning I walked in and she was eating Jack in the Box at 6:45 in the morning," before explaining his wife favors "burgers and fries.”
Benny also said that the Emilia Perez actress “eats the s--- out of the wellness mogul's Goop Kitchen meals” but mainly prefers “whatever is bad for your diet”.
Another insider source close to Selena mentioned the singer has “spent most of her adult life dealing with people dissecting her body, her health and what she eats”.
“To hear her husband turn it into a punchline in front of a crowd was upsetting for her,” remarked a source.
Meanwhile, the insider pointed out that Selena thought Benny “should know better given everything she has gone through and was seething” over his comments.
“Selena does not pretend to be a wellness guru, but she also doesn't appreciate being portrayed as some reckless child living on junk food. She thought Benny's comments were unnecessary and insensitive,” added a source.
