Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who are embroiled in a lawsuit battle against Justin Baldoni, skipped the Met Gala 2025.

The 37-year-old actress has been stealing the spotlight at the annual event since 2008, showcasing statement fashion choices.

The absence of the couple became a buzz and was speculated to have links with their ongoing lawsuit with the director.

However, TMZ reported that the snub had no connection with their It legal crossfire because this was decided “way before that drama unfolded.”

It is to be noted that the Gossip Girl alum and the Deadpool star have been missing the function since 2022, making this their third year of absence.

At the reopening of Tiffany & Co., Blake was asked about whether fans would see her at the party of the year. She responded with: “You will not.”

Nevertheless, the two have been busy with the Green Lantern actress’ new movie Another Simple Favor, which recently premiered in New York on April 27.

Previously, Blake and Ryan Reynolds were sweethearts at the TIME100 gala where the mother-of-four alluded to Justin in her speech.

Is Blake Lively suing Justin Baldoni?

This came after the Savages actress reportedly felt uncomfortable because of her co-star and director when they were shooting the romantic drama.

In December 2024, Blake Lively took her complain to the court as she filed a sexual harassment case against the Jane the Virgin actor.

The filmmaker denied all the allegations and responded with a $400 million suit against the Reynolds couple, accusing them of extortion and defamation
