Why Selena Gomez won’t dance with Benny Blanco at their wedding?

The popular singer, Selena Gomez, and songwriter, Benny Blanco, announced their engagement in December 2024 via Instagram.

Now the celebrity love birds want to tie their relationship in a marriage, and there has been a lot of talk going around that the couple might be following the big wedding traditions.

Talking with Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast, released on Wednesday, 20th April, Gomez shared that she and her fiancé are not considering a bride and groom dance at their reception.

Gomez hesitantly said that they won’t be dancing because she’s a “little embarrassed”, and following her statement, Blanco said that she’s “shy”.

But adding to the conversation, the Rare Beauty founder stated that she’d be having a special dance with her mother’s father. She also highlighted the significance of bringing him to participate in the wedding festivities.

Since Gomez's parents didn’t have a traditional wedding, instead they eloped in Vegas, and they are happily married “ever since they were like 26”.

Although the Emmy-nominated actress believes that it’s adorable of her parents to marry like that but her grandfather deserves “the opportunity” to have a full wedding for his daughter.
