Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently facing charges of sexual assault, violence, trafficking and racketeering while he remains under arrest in Brooklyn, US.
The rapper was arrested in September 2024 following get indicted of the charges filed by multiple women. The trial is set to begin on May 5.
One of the alleged victims of Diddy is his former partner Cassie Ventura who has been termed as the “central figure” of the case.
A video of the disgraced rapper allegedly beating and dragging his partner was released that became a strong evidence against him.
The rapper’s legal team appealed to have the video removed form trial and jury’s consideration form the case, however the appeal has been rejected.
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian revealed that Diddy’s legal team failed to convince him to exclude the video from the trial.
Prosecutors have called the video “critical” to the case meanwhile Diddy’s team claimed that it was edited.
