Katy Perry became the first pop star to fly to space, along with 5 other women, making it a historic first-ever all women space flight.

The flight, that was conducted by billionaire Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Horizon, became a topic of critique for being a “waste of money”.

The pop star has been feeling “regret” over the flight, despite its significance, after it sparked online buzz.

The singer is regretting making it a big public money that was televised with online coverage.

“Katy doesn’t regret going to space. It was life-changing. What she does regret is making a public spectacle out of it”, a source told Daily Mail.

Many celebrities have come forward to call the project out for its “disgusting” and “out-of-touch” narrative including Olivia Munn, Emily Ratajkowski and Lilly Allen.

During the 11-minute flight, Katy Perry sang Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World and later released the setlist of her upcoming world tour, Lifetimes.

The growing trend of space-tourism is being heavily criticised for its extravagant cost and damage to the environment when the earth is already going though a climate crisis.

The first-ever all women flight in history carried pop star Katy Perry, billionaire Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez, TV presenter Gayle King, film producer Kerianne Flynn, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, and civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen.
