The Dazed and Confused actor Nicky Katt, who played many iconic villains, took his last breath at 54, leaving admirers devastated.

The cause of death for the 90’s star has not been disclosed, but his legal representative John Sloss, a partner of Sloss Law confirmed his date of passing as April 8 to Deadline.

Katt would repeatedly partner up with prominent filmmakers such as Cristopher Nolan, Steven Soderbergh, and Richard Linklater, the director of Dazed and Confused and SubUrbia.

The former child actor also won over fans with his acting roles in hits such as Boston Public, where he played the geology teacher Harry Senate, and for Greg Weinstein in Ben Younger’s Boiler Room.

Following the news, heartbroken fans expressed their grief and reflected on Katt’s legacy on social media.

One fan noted, “He was brilliant in "Boiler Room".”

Another agreed, adding, “He.was [sic] by far the best part of Boiler Room, stole every scene.”

A third shared of his acting, “Biggest compliment I can give him is that I hated him in Dazed and Confused. That was the point wasn't it? Rest in Peace Nicky. You were definitely taken too soon.”

The actor, who had a recurring role on Law and Order, has also shared the screen with other esteemed celebrities such as Matthew McConaughey, Meryl Streep, Ben Affleck and George Clooney.

Nicky Katt played the role of Arthur in the 90’s sitcom Friends on the episode titled The One with the Bullies.
