Earlier this week the cast for the legendary band Beatles’ biopic was announced as the movie is scheduled for a 2028 release.
The biopic will feature Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon.
According to the report, Paul Mescal is currently too “ripped” to play Paul McCartney, who was once jokingly referred to s the “fat beatle”.
“Obviously there weren’t really gyms around in the Sixties. The Beatles weren’t dead-lifting between gigs,” said a source to The Sun.
Mescal has been advised to lose muscle and gan weight to prepare for the role. The actor had previously gained 22 pounds in muscle for his role as the beefy Prince of Rome in the Gladiator II.
The Irish actor has maintaned his build even after the movie’s release which is different to McCartney’s body who is a vegetarian, while Mescal has a heavy protein diet based on steak, eggs and chicken.
