Louis Tomlinson’s new beau Zara McDermott still in contact with ex

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson was spotted having a cosy dinner with TV star Zara McDermott following the rumours of the two dating.

Zara McDermott is an English reality TV star who appeared on Love Island 2018. McDermott had been dating TV personality Sam Thompson until their eventual split in December 2025.

Thompson recently revealed that the two are still in contact as they are co-parenting their two cats that they got when they were together.

The couple shared two designer cats, Albus and Cedric, that lived with them in their Chelsea home, which McDermott left after their break up, sparking rumours that she also took their pets with her.

It was speculated who had kept the cats when Thompson shared a picture on his social media with the two pets captioned “Miss you”.

McDermott is currently vacationing in Dubai while Thompson and Tomlinson are in the UK and are rumoured to face each other on field in an upcoming Socceraid match.
