Zayn Malik leaves fans sobbing with One Direction performance
Zayn Malik performed a One Direction song on the 10th anniversary of him leaving the band
Former One Direction member Zayn Malik announced his departure from the band on March 25, 2015 making fans upset.
On the 10-year mark of his departure, he played a surprise One Direction song from 2014 leaving the fans in shock.
Malik is currently on his first solo tour Stairway to the Sky. At his first arena show, the singer opened the concert with Night Changes from One Direction’s fourth album, Four.
“It’s the first time I’ve sung that song in 10 years. Thank you, that was amazing, I almost cried at one point.” he said making the crowd emotional.
The song is one of the group’s biggest hits that is still played frequently for its themes of love, nostalgia and nature of growing up.
The musician arrived on the Mexico stage in a red blazer and a white button up shirt.
The singer was the first one to leave the band in 2015 later explaining that everyone was “sick” of each other by that point.
The members reunited for the first time at their bandmate Liam Payne’s funeral in November 2024 after he passed away tragically in Argentina.
