SNL stars, Colin Jost and Pete Davidson have allegedly been in the middle of a feud for months after the latter left Saturday Night Live, based on speculation.
According to the source that spoke to TMZ, the feud was blown out of proportion. The $20, 000 Cartier watch that Davidson bought for Jost was not an apology, although he regrets his behavior before he went off to rehab.
The source claimed that the gift was meant to show the comedian’s dedication to being sober and a fresh start. As of now, the two continue to be business partners on the Staten Island Ferry project.
The insider further explained that while the two are on good terms, they were never particularly close to begin with, interacting more due to their shared work.
The two appeared together on SNL for years, as Davidson would make frequent appearances on Jost’s “Weekend Update” segment.
Since the former left the show, however, their interactions have been lesser in frequency and are mostly related to business.
Davidson had checked himself into rehab last July, which came amid quickly growing concerns about his mental and physical health.
