Daisy Ridley gives ‘Star Wars’ fans hope for new film

Daisy Ridley, an English actress, sat down for an interview with ComicBook to talk about her latest upcoming film, Cleaner which comes out on 21 February.

She is set to make a return to the Star Wars universe in the tentatively titled Star Wars: New Jedi Order, which is being directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. The screenplay is being penned by Oceans Twelve writer, George Nolfi.

Speaking about the movie, she said, “I have not read the latest script, but I know what’s happening, and I know the story, and I think what feels really good is that George is a phenomenal writer. I think we’re making sure that this story is the best way, this script is the best way to tell the story, and I think it will be worthwhile. for everyone watching it, and I am very excited, yeah.”

It will be following her character, Rey after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Naomi Ackie, who played the character of Jannah in the last film, was also asked whether she would be returning for New Jedi Order, to which she responded, “Ask them. Star Wars, get it together! … I get a call, we’ll see what happens, I’ll see if I’m free!”
