BTS, a K-pop group's fans have taken to social media to criticize the hosts on the Italian radio show Radio 105 for making insulting comments about group member, Jin.
The situation took place after the show played Jin’s track, Running Wild to which the hosts began to react aggressively, insisting that the track should be stopped and that they didn’t care about offending BTS.
One user wrote, “Let the radio station know about the unprofessionalism of their DJ. Name in the comments I don’t want to further spread it. Here is the email of Radio 105 and its sponsor’s link with a contact section. Do with that what you must… Nobody makes fun of Jin and his music.”
“Remember how racist radio host Matthias Matuschik lost his career BECAUSE he was racist to BTS? Marco Mazzoli should’ve learned from this guy. Unfortunately he didn’t & he still had the audacity to say racist insults to Jin on air. This is the path you chose,” warned another.
In place of an apology, the hosts took to their own social media pages and show to criticize BTS and their fans, calling their loyalty to the group “morbid”.
Users have responded by reporting the incident to BTS’ agency, HYBE Entertainment, and are also demanding an apology from the network as well as the hosts.
