Blake Lively reveals secret behind successful marriage with Ryan Reynolds

Blake Lively has finally revealed the secret behind her successful 12-year marriage to Ryan Reynolds.

“When Ryan and I got together, we made a rule not to work at the same time so that we could always prioritise our personal life,” the 36-year-old actress said during her appearance on the latest episode of Amber Tamblyn's Substack show Further Ado.

She added, “That takes working really hard when we're not, Just like financial planning and sustaining that — it takes balance.”

In 2019, during an interview with PEOPLE, Ryan opened up for the first time about the agreement that he and Blake have when it comes to their professional lives.

“Blake and I don’t do movies at the same time. If she is doing a movie in Thailand and I am doing a movie in Vancouver we would just never see each other. We operate as a unit, and that works really well for us,” he told the publication at that time.

“The kids stay with us, and the family stays together, and that is where home is. So if we are in Spain or Utah or New York, as long as we are together, we’re home,” the Deadpool actor added.

For those unversed, Blake and Ryan tied the knot in 2012 and share four children together.
