Who lifts the Glitterball trophy at Strictly Come Dancing 2023?

Strictly Come Dancing 2023 came to an end with Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, announced as the season’s winner.

Following a spectacular finale, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman revealed the name of the dancing duo, who took the coveted Glitterball trophy on Saturday, December 16.

Leach and Coppola emerged as the winners after a neck to neck competition with other dancing rivals; Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, and Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell.

As per Manchester Evening News, the total scores given by the judges comes after each pair performed thrice, at that time Williams and Kuzmin were leading the pack with 119 points out of 120.

Brazier and Buswell scored 117 points and Leach and Cappola, after bagging 115 points, landed on the bottom of the final leaderboard.

However, tables shortly turned for the Leach and Cappola, who enamored the public with their electrifying performance. 

Last year. Hamza Yassin with his professional dance partner Jowita Pryzstal won the 20th season of the dancing competition by ending up on the top after public vote.

The same happened with former Coronation Street star and Vito; the moment they were called out as winners, Leach was utterly shocked and covered her mouth with her hands.

Meanwhile, Coppola was moved to tears upon realizing that he won the competition with his second celebrity partner on the show since he joined last year.

The Strictly Come Dancing commenced this year after 14 celebrities signed up for it. It concluded with three finalists who brought their A-games on the stage, however, the audience’s favorite won the competition.

Shortly after the grand finale, fans rallied to social media and commented, "ELLIE AND VITO!!! YESSSSS THE PUBLIC MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!”

A second user wrote, “The perfect ending to an incredible final. Thrilled for Ellie and Vito, the most consistent couple and deserved winners! #Strictly #StrictlyFinal."
