BTS Suga is set to embark on his mandatory military service as stated in an official announcement by the boyband's agency.
The agency, BIGHIT MUSIC released a statement stating that the 30-year-old decided against postponing his military service and decided to go through with it instead.
"We would like to inform our fans that Suga has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement," the statement began.
It added that fans lend their "continued love and support" to the musician until he completes his duties.
The company added that it will continue to support Suga as he begins his new journey in the military.
"We ask you for your continued love and support for Suga until he completes his military service and safely returns. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artist."
Prior to the announcement, Suga was seen getting emotional in what would be his final performance as part of the BTS 'D-Day' World Tour in Seoul.
