Cardi B declares clear after investigation on mic-throwing incident

Cops ended their criminal battery investigation on rapper Cardi B after she was exonerated in the Las Vegas mic-throwing incident.

In a statement provided to People magazine on Thursday by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department: "After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case."

"This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi," her lawyers Drew Findling, David Chesnoff, and Richard Schonfeld told TMZ.

"On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept's diligent and prompt resolution of this matter."

The I Like It singer, who has tied the knot to rapper Offset, asked her audience to throw water on her when she performed at Drai's Beachclub & Nightclub last Saturday to beat the heat in Las Vegas.

She retaliated by hurling the microphone at the suspected liquid launcher after one audience member doused the rapper with liquid and ice in response.

The microphone then hit a female bystander, who called the police and claimed she wasn't the one who fired the melting missiles at Cardi, 30, in the subsequent chain of events.

The woman, who was hit by the microphone on the right shoulder, reportedly notified local law officials that she is "experiencing pain because of the incident and is going to go get medical attention after she returns home on 7/30/23," according to NBC.
