Ice Spice & Nicki Minaj’s ‘Princess Diana’ tops the charts.

"Princess Diana" by Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj is at the top of the August 5 Billboard Rhythmic Airplay chart after climbing from No. 3. The song reaches the top of the charts after an 11% increase in plays for the week ending July 27, according to Luminate, making it the most played song on U.S. monitored rhythmic radio stations.

Ice Spice attains her second Rhythmic Airplay No. 1 with "Princess Diana," becoming the artist. She collaborated with PinkPantheress on "Boy's a Liar, Pt. 2," which topped the charts for one week in May. This was her first song.

While all is going on, Minaj secures her tenth trip to the Rhythmic Airplay penthouse. She is only the third woman to surpass the double-digit mark thanks to her newest champion. The first member of the club was Rihanna, who joined in 2012 and made "Diamonds" the occasion of her tenth victory. Beyoncé joined the club in 2020 and made "Savage" the occasion of her tenth leadership. Since then, both artists have accrued more No. 1 singles: Beyonce now has 12 and Rihanna has 17.

Minaj and Post Malone share ninth place on the all-time list of Rhythmic Airplay No. 1s among all artists since the chart's inception in 1992. Drake has the most chart-toppers with 38.

Prior to Minaj's involvement in a remix that debuted on April 14, "Princess Diana" had already been made available as part of Ice's Spice Like EP in January. In addition to winning the top spot on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, the song also moves up to positions 11–9 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart after seeing an 8% increase in plays during the most recent tracking weeks.

Even though the rap prodigy and veteran have only collaborated once this year, their collaboration on "Barbie World," starring Aqua, has already resulted in another Rhythmic Airplay smash. The song, which is from the Barbie soundtrack, moves up to position 19-14 on the most recent chart with a 23% increase in weekly plays.
