Jenna Ortega discussed how her portrayal of Wednesday Addams in the popular Halloween Netflix series Wednesday altered the actor's personal sense of style.
The 20-year-old actress discussed how she could identify with her gothic-inspired character Wednesday Addams in a recent interview with Vogue.
"I've always respected goth culture," the actress said. "I've always had a darker sense of humour, but I never felt like I was able to express that. Now I feel like I can embrace those qualities in myself."
Ortega also discussed how the programme and her role prompted her to a hairdo change, and consequently, more risk in her overall presentation. She wore various styles inspired by her show Wednesday during the most recent awards season.
"Up until then I was really, really attached to my long hair," Ortega said. "Changing it encouraged me to be more adventurous; to experiment and be more creative in that way."
Also, Ortega has been casted in Netflix thriller YOU season two and praised for her role but somehow because of Wednesday's forthcoming season, the actress 's role was canceled.
The actress has been recently selected as the new face of Dior's Gris fragrance.
"That was really exciting," she told Vogue. "I felt like I was really encouraged to be myself — I felt throughout the entire process that I could go with my own gut instinct and do whatever felt authentic and natural to me."
