Rapper Trippie Redd falls victim to internet death hoax, fans panic
Trippie Redd is currently gearing up for the release of a new album
Fans went into a frenzy after it was allegedly reported that Trippie Redd has passed away.
The rumors swirled after a satirical social media account claimed that the 23-year-old rapper was “found dead.”
The account indeed added a disclaimer at the end, writing, “This is a satirical website. Don’t take it Seriously. It’s a joke.”
However, the note was swiftly ignored by the fans of the rapper, whose real name is Michael Lamar White II, and jumped to the article making further far-reaching claims.
The article read that the rapper was “shot six times in the head he was then rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.”
“We are currently looking for the three men right now at the moment,” it read, before adding the disclaimer yet again.
Despite False Reports, Trippie Redd is Alive and Well:
The Pegasus artist is not only currently living his best life, but is also busy doing what he loves most – making new music.
Redd took to Twitter earlier this week to tease his upcoming album ALLTY5. “so soon,” he wrote in the tweet.
