Keke Palmer is not taking criticism of her son.
The Disney star took to Instagram Monday to announce the birth of her baby boy she welcomed with beau Darius Jackson.
After Palmer revealed the name of her son Leodis Andrellton Jackson, she was met with a substantial amount of commentary – both positive and negative.
However, the Nope actress isn’t taking it to heart.
“That name sound like it led a civil rights march,” a tweet read, to which the actress replied: “It’s giving I marched with Martin [Luther King Jr.], purrrr.”
Many social media users echoed the sentiments of the star, calling the name “iconic” and “legendary” and a name with “black excellence ring to it.”
In an adorable post on Monday, Palmer paid a sweet tribute to her newborn and his father Darius with a carousel of pictures from the hospital, car, and of course face reveal of their son.
“Hey Son!!!!" Palmer captioned the post. "Born during Black History Month, with a name to match! LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”
The Disney alum first announced her pregnancy early in December while hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live.
The actress also accidentally revealed the gender of her baby during an appearance on Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
