NYPD Blue, How I Met Your Mother star Austin Majors dies at 27

Austin Majors, renowned for his role in NYPD Blue, has died. He was 27.

According to the Los Angeles County coroner, the former child star was found dead at his residence on Saturday, Feb. 11.

The cause of his death is currently unknown.

"Austin Majors was an artistic, brilliant, and kind human being," his sister, Kali Majors-Raglin, said in a statement on Monday. "Austin took great joy and pride in his acting career."

Kicking off his career in the early 2000s, Majors starred as the son of the protagonist in NYPD Blue.

He has also been accredited for appearing on other tv shows, including E.R., NCIS, and How I Met Your Mother, among others.

"Most people will remember him as young Theo Sipowicz on ABC’s NYPD Blue and the voice of Young Jim in Disney’s Treasure Planet, but we will remember him as the caring, generous, and kindhearted individual that he was," Philip Marcus, a director at Majors' agency, said in a statement.
