Shania Twain has nothing but 'appreciation' for ex husband Mutt Lange
Shania Twain and Robert John "Mutt" Lange were married for 14 years

Shania Twain is leaving her hurtful past behind by being the bigger person.
Speaking to People, the 57-year-old country musician expressed appreciation for her former husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange, and revealed she has forgiven him long ago.
"It took a lot of working through, but I do believe that everyone's got to do what is right for them," Twain told the outlet.
Lange cheated on Twain with her friend Marie-Anne Thiébaud while they were married.
The pair eventually got divorced.
She noted that she “found peace a long time ago” in the form of “forgiveness” for Lange, and with that, she has been able to have “more appreciation for him again.”
Lange was not only her partner but also her music producer, hence the Woman in Me artist explained she was “able to recover as a singer” after the "low period of my life."
“I was able to work through the fear of working without Mutt. I was able to work through finding my own independence again, as an artist, after being so long with a music partner," she shared.
"I just don't need him anymore for that," she expressed. "And I just, in that sense, feel I'm able to look at what he did for me and all that he contributed to such a great part of my career and great part of my life."
The former couple share a 21-year-old son Eja.
