Amy Winehouse's parents pay emotional tribute at singer's grave

Amy Winehouse's parents, Mitch and Janis Winehouse, gathered with family and close friends on Wednesday to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the late singer's death, visiting her grave in north London to honor her memory.

The pair were seen paying their respects at Edgwarebury Cemetery, where Winehouse's ashes were laid to rest following her death in July 2011 at the age of 27. 

Flowers were placed at the graveside as relatives and admirers paused to remember the celebrated singer-songwriter, whose music continues to resonate around the world.

According to Daily Mail, Mitch and Janis, who divorced when Amy was a child but remained united in preserving her legacy, have made it a tradition to visit her resting place on significant anniversaries. 

During this year's visit, Janis, who has multiple sclerosis, was assisted with a mobility walker, while Mitch used a walking stick as the family quietly reflected on Amy's life and career.

Moreover, Winehouse rose to international fame with acclaimed albums including Frank and Back to Black, earning widespread praise for her distinctive blend of soul, jazz and R&B. 

Her career was also marked by well-documented struggles with addiction and mental health before she died from accidental alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011. She was 27 years old.

More than a decade after her death, Winehouse's influence on contemporary music remains significant.
