Mike Wolfe shares heartbreaking update in viral social media post

American Pickers star Mike Wolfe has shared the heartbreaking news that his beloved dog Francie Joe has died following what he described as a tragic accident.

The 61-year-old television personality took to Instagram to announce the devastating loss admitting he feels responsible and is struggling to come to terms with what happened.

"In a tragic accident, one I feel very much responsible for, I lost my Francie Joe," Wolfe wrote. "My heart is shattered into a thousand pieces.

"I never got to say goodbye or comfort her when she needed me most," he shared.

"She came into my life when I was struggling. We traveled and explored this beautiful country together," he wrote. "She was family. She was everything I ever dreamed of in a dog."

"All I can do is remember what she taught me and live my life the way she would be proud of me," he continued.

Television personality Ty Pennington offered his condolences writing, "I'm so sorry. I can't even wrap my head around losing our best friends. They're the best things we ever find in this world."

Former American Pickers co-star Danielle Colby also paid tribute writing, "I love you, brother. I will miss Francie so much. You were her guiding light and she yours. My heart is with you."
