Actress Jaime Winston confirmed to join Strictly Come Dancing 2026 lineup

Actress Jaime Winstone has officially been announced as the eighth celebrity taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2026 joining the hit BBC competition ahead of its return this September.

Known for her impressive career across film, television and theatre Winstone first rose to prominence in 2004.

She later took on Windsor's iconic EastEnders character Peggy Mitchell in special flashback episodes including the soap's 40th anniversary celebrations with the episode going on to win the British Soap Award for Best Single Episode. Away from acting Winstone has enjoyed a successful modelling career.

Sharing her excitement about joining the show Winstone said: "I am so excited to announce that I will be joining the Strictly Come Dancing cast this year. I am no stranger to a dance floor, but the ballroom is a whole new world for me."

"I love a challenge though, so can't wait to enter my showgirl era and get super sparkly!! Let's get physical – see you on the dance floor!" she added.

Winstone joins an already growing celebrity line-up that includes Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best and Dame Sarah Storey.
