Bunnie Xo is speaking candidly about the emotional impact of body-shaming she experienced while undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF), revealing that hurtful online comments about her weight added to an already difficult journey.

The podcast host and media personality discussed the issue during a recent episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, where she explained that hormone treatments associated with IVF caused noticeable weight gain.

Rather than receiving compassion, she said she was met with criticism from social media users who mocked her appearance.

Among the comments that affected her most were comparisons to her husband, country singer Jelly Roll, with some users claiming she had become "bigger than her husband."

According to Daily Mail, Bunnie said the remarks highlighted how little understanding many people have about the physical and emotional demands of fertility treatment.

"It's like people just have no respect," she said, noting that IVF is already a physically exhausting process without the added pressure of public scrutiny.

Bunnie also reflected on the heartbreak she and Jelly Roll have experienced throughout their fertility journey, including the loss of multiple embryos.

Despite those setbacks, she said the couple remains committed to becoming parents and refuses to let online negativity derail their goal.

Moreover, the couple first shared their decision to pursue IVF in 2024, explaining they wanted to be transparent about the challenges of expanding their family.

Since then, Bunnie has frequently used her platform to discuss infertility, endometriosis and the realities of fertility treatments in hopes of helping others facing similar struggles.
