Justin Trudeau makes surprise cameo in Katy Perry's latest single promotion

Justin Trudeau has made a surprise appearance in Katy Perry's latest TikTok, delighting fans after briefly joining the singer in a playful video promoting her new single, Watch It Burn.

The former Canadian Prime Minister appeared for just a few seconds in the clip, hopping alongside Perry and members of her team before quickly disappearing from the frame. 

The singer captioned the video, "Ancient texts say that if you hop to this song you will get 1,000 years of good luck," encouraging fans to recreate the trend.

The video was filmed during Perry's stop in Stuttgart, Germany, as part of her Out of Office European tour. 

Watch It Burn, released on June 25, has become a staple of the concert setlist, with the TikTok serving as the latest promotional push for the track.

Fans were quick to notice Trudeau's cameo, flooding the comments with reactions to his unexpected appearance. 

According to Daily Mail, many described the brief moment as wholesome, while others joked they had to replay the clip to spot the former politician.

The TikTok follows another social media update from Perry in which she included a photo of Trudeau embracing and kissing her backstage after her performance, further fueling public interest in the couple's relationship.

Perry and Trudeau first sparked romance rumors in July 2025 following the singer's split from Orlando Bloom. 

Since then, the pair have made several public appearances together, with Trudeau frequently supporting Perry during her international tour dates.
