Junior Andre reflects on difficult childhood

Junior Andre has shared an emotional account of growing up during his mother Katie Price's struggles with addiction and mental health, revealing he often felt responsible for protecting his younger sister, Princess, as their family navigated a turbulent period.

Speaking in the Sky documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, the 21-year-old recalled a frightening period when he felt his mother was unable to properly care for him and Princess. 

Junior said he eventually decided to move in with his father, Peter Andre, after witnessing behavior that left him concerned for his safety and well-being.

Although he left the family home, Junior admitted he worried about Princess, who chose to remain with their mother. 

According to Daily Mail, he said he felt guilty for leaving his younger sister behind and frequently checked on her, wanting to ensure she was coping with the difficult circumstances. 

Moreover, Princess also reflected on the experience, recalling how lonely she felt during that time and revealing she found comfort sleeping with a blanket sprayed with her mother's perfume whenever Katie was away.

Katie Price has previously acknowledged that her struggles following the breakdown of her marriage to Kieran Hayler affected her ability to parent. 

In the documentary, she expressed regret over the pain her children experienced, saying she recognizes she was unwell and unable to be the mother they needed during that period.

Despite the family's difficult past, both Junior and Princess said they have noticed positive changes in their mother's life in recent years as she has focused on improving her mental health and rebuilding her relationship with her children.
